12 o’clock sitting at your desk looking out into gloomy skies and bare trees dreaming of sitting back whilst you sip on your third Margarita as the sun is setting over rolling waves and pink skies. No boss in your ear asking after the Johnson file, just tropical Indonesian bliss.
Bali has become somewhat of an ‘old faithful’ for what the CV team call a RRR holiday (relaxing, rejuvenating and refreshing). Consistently stunning and always welcoming, Bali is a delightful paradise that always delivers on what you want from your time away.
As you probably would have seen Bali could be described as ‘trending’ right now – think ‘The Bali bible’ ‘Potato head’ ‘the W hotel’ ‘Motel Mexicola’ and ‘Sisterfields café’ - all AMAZING locations and would highly recommend them to any Bali newcomer! But what about those little gems hiding around corners and places you’ve never heard of before! Well we’ve got you covered, be sure to take note, as these babies won’t disappoint!
Cool Spa & Salon
When you think of Bali you think of Massages right? Well if your after an amazing massage ‘Cool’ is definitely our favourite! Sitting right across the road from Sisterfields Café, Cools spa menu can’t be beaten! The 1 hour full body massage will only set you back 16 aus dollars! And if you want to add things like Aromatherapy its an additional 1 dollar! (Hello daily massage!) in addition to cool being affordable its also tranquil and modern (the massage room is pitch black only lit by blue lights) but still has that traditional Bali feel. Plus there’s a cute little fresh fruit stall right next door that will slice open a fresh coconut for a little post massage refresher!
So if your walking out of Sisterfields café after polishing off your Acai bowl or Smashed Avo we suggest you walk straight across the road and meet the friendly staff at Cool!
Grocer and Grind
Directly diagonal from Cool - We love Grocer and Grind for a post massage bite or sip! They have been around for a while and are well known for their organic roasted coffee, fresh juices and smoothies, amazing lunch menu and little sweet treats! We highly recommend their ‘G burger and fries’ or a pizza from their amazing wood fire oven! Or if your feeling like a bit of health boost we love to go and get a Latte with a wheatgrass shot on the side or a fresh mixed juice! This one is great to take the kiddies too!

Cocoon Beach Club
So we’ve all heard of Potato Head and the W hotel to lay by the pool and order a cocktail, which is a no brainer! But sometimes it’s not always that easy to snag yourself a spot. So make sure you add Cocoon beach club to your list. Sitting right on Double six beach (66) over looking the waves, is a sea of white lounge chairs placed around a picturesque aqua blue infinity pool. The 2 for one cocktail at happy hour with some crazy delicious menu items (think tapas or build your own salad - yum!) has you set for a seriously idyllic afternoon!
Made’s is our favorite restaurant when you’re just looking for something easy or if you want to try some traditional Balinese or Indonesian food. La Lucciola, Sarong and Sea circus are all amazing so once you’ve tried some of the top restaurants and are looking for something a bit more low-key we recommend heading down to Seminyak St to Made’s. With a menu so big its bounded into a book divided by cuisines including Western, Indonesian, Japanese, Thai and Balinese, you’ll have loads to choose from and what’s even better is it’s seriously budget and family friendly!
